I was born an artist and am always creating. I can paint a room and then create a painting to match. Jewelry designer turned interior designer.  Design is about a transformation that not only takes place in the things around you, but also transforms your inner self and lifestyle.  I enjoy framing ideas to create valuable experiences and comfortable unique interior settings.  I have studied design at Berkley University and was mentored under the timeless design philosophy.  I have 5 yrs experience in residental design and throughly enjoys the process of transformation.

From my early years, I gained an appreciation of nature and its surrounding beauty growing up in rural southern Maryland. I was born under the sign of Taurus, ruled by Venus, goddess of love and beauty I carry with me that spirit and hold a great value in nature and all that she creates. I share this- to explain why I have a passion to artistically create jewelry using minerals and gem stones, believing this demonstrate the earth’s creations at its finest. I enjoy working with semi-precious stones for they reflect the intense pressures within the earth’s crust and yet still produce astounding beauty. I’m a free spirit at heart-traveling when I can to admire and absorb the beauty each landscape and culture embodies. I am a graduate of Towson University, majoring in business (marketing) with a minor in Art. I began my amateur career as a jewelry designer by collecting random rocks from hikes as I traveled and incorporated these into wire designs. What once was a hobby has now converted into a full time professional job. The Tucson Gem Show really was my epiphany as it exposed me to the professional world of minerals and introduced me to learning new ways to design. For the next two years, I attended classes through the Gem Cutter’s Guild of Baltimore in jewelry making, lapidary work, and fusing glass. For the last three years I have been perfecting my technique and designing mostly in the glass medium. The fusion of glass, the process of integrating heat and glass(which is essentially sand heated), is symbolic of the powerful point where volcanic eruptions that created land meet the ocean. This point is a powerful exchange of energy that creates a breakdown of earth in which sand is created. So for me glass encapsulates that force of where the ocean meets the land. Its fluidity, smoothness, and brilliance have always amazed me. Goddess Gear I hope you enjoy my work, for I have enjoyed uniquely creating it.
